Funny egg flowers

These funny egg flowers are a perfect gift or can just as well serve as a simple classroom decoration that the children can make on their own.

You will need this to make the egg flowers:

Pelikan transparency paper in blue or red, Pelikan colored paper in green, Pelikan glossy paper in yellow, wooden sticks, floral foam, toothpicks, glue and scissors, an empty (blown out) eggshell, PLAKA paint in green and a paintbrush..

What to do:

1. Print out the download template and cut the flower petals out eight times from the transparency paper. Then copy both leaves to the green colored paper and cut them out, as well.
   
   The flower petals and the tags for individual designing are available to download.

2. Color the wooden sticks with PLAKA green and let the paint dry. Then cut a 3 cm wide strip off the green colored paper. Glue this paper strip about 4 cm above the end of the wooden stick. Wrap it around until the stick fits exactly into the bottom hole of the egg. The colored paper is supposed to prevent the stick from slipping out later on by jamming the stick in the hole. Then shove the wooden stickcarefully through the other hole of the egg and fix it with glue. Let the glue dry thoroughly.
   
   The wooden stick with the colored paper is glued to the egg. This way the egg sticks tightly onto the wooden stick.

3. Now glue the flower petals star-shaped around the bottom hole of the egg. Glue a round yellow circle made of glossy paper on the top of the egg.
4. Now we put the egg flower together. First you fill the flower pot with floral foam. Then place the finished flower altogether with the green leaves inside the flower pot.
5. As a final step, you can stick a sign, e.g. a present or a name tag, in the floral foam. For this, just print out our download template, label it and glue the tooth pick on the back.
